Who I Am

I am a creative digital, visual, and book cover artist. I have always had a passion for art from a really young age and I newly got into digital art during the 2020 lockdown, which is when I created asformeandmyart.

The inspiration to name my brand asformeandmyart came from the bible verse Joshua 24:15-16 where Joshua made the decision to choose to serve the Lord above any other gods because he knew that his strength and blessings come from God. My talent and ability to create art all come from God, he is the one that blesses me with creativity and wisdom. I have been looking for ways to serve the Lord with my art, I thought I had to draw portraits of Jesus and angels but I soon came to the realization that I can serve the Lord with my art just by creating. Every day I wasn't developing the talent God gave me I was failing to use my gift to honor God.

My art is influenced by the surrealist art movement, so even when I create portrait drawings I like to reimagine the portrait through the irrational juxtaposition of images in a way that almost feels unnatural. Since I started my digital art journey I have had the opportunity to be featured in Holy Art Gallery's online digital exhibition
